Swim Lessons
The Estes Park Aquatic Center is happy to offer a variety of swim lessons year around!
Our group lessons run on a specially designed curriculum developed especially for our facility. Our swim lessons focus on teaching children not only how to swim, but how to be safe in water as well as giving them the tools to continue swimming as a life time sport.
Our swim lessons are divided into 2 sections: Pre-school and Learn-to-Swim.
- Pre-school levels are for children who have not yet started kindergarten.
- Learn-to-swim levels are for children who are school aged.
The breakdown of our levels are as follows:
New Pre-School levels:
Pre-School levels are for children who have not yet started school, but are AT LEAST 3 YEARS OLD:
1. Bears and Cubs - Parent-Child, age 6mo-3yrs
2. Chipmunks - age 3-5, beginner
3. Ground Squirrel -- age 3-5, passed Chipmunk
4. Beavers, age 3-5 -- passed Ground Squirrel
5. Marmot -- age 3-5, passed Beavers
Learn-To-Swim levels:
These levels are designed for children who have started school/are AT LEAST 5 YEARS OLD!
Children under 5 must be in the Pre-School Levels.
1. Fox -- age 5 and up, beginner
2. Coyote -- age 5 and up, passed Fox
3. Grey Wolf -- age 5 and up, passed Coyote
4. Hawks -- age 5 and up, passed Grey Wolf
5. Eagles -- age 5 and up, passes Hawks
6. Elk -- age 5 and up, passed Hawks
7. Bobcats -- age 5 and up, passed Elk
8. WaterCats -- approval from instructor

Welcome to fall swim lessons at the Aquatic Center! Evening classes will meet every Tuesday and Thursday for 4 weeks. Evening class times will be 6:10-6:40pm and 6:40-7:10pm.
Online registration is only available for the next session offered.
Please register for classes in adnvance for $35 per session. The cost for signing up the first day of lessons is $45
Evening lessons at the Aquatic Center run 6:10-6:40pm or 6:40-7:10pm. Classes run for 4 weeks and meet every Tuesday and Thursday. The cost is $35 per session.

Ground Squirrel 3-5yrs (must have passed Chipmunk) This pre-school level is designed to help continue water comfort and floating without support. Participants will work on bubbles, submersion and swimming with equipment. |

Fox 5yrs and up Our first level in our learn to swim levels, participants will work on being comfortable in the water. Floating on back and front as well as the beginnings of the front and back crawl! This in a excellent level for a new swimmer! |

Bears and Cubs 6mo – 3 yrs This class is our parent child class. We will work on water adjustment as well as proper holds in the water. We will also use various equipment with the class. This class is a great oppurtunity to get your little one acquainted with the water and start learning water safety |

Beavers 3 - 5yrs (must have passed Ground Squirrel) This pre-school level is for our advancing young swimmers. This class will focus on independence in the water, putting strokes together, as well as water safety. They will be working on front crawl and back crawl with an introduction to the other strokes as well as working with the equipment! |

Chimpmunks 3-5yrs The first in our pre-school swim lesson. Participants will work on bubbles, submersion and swimming with equipment. Participants will also work on water safety and beginning stroke development. |

Coyote In this level participants will work on developing more front and back crawl skills. They will work on swimming farther and using different equipemnt. Participants will also work on water safety and stroke development. |
